8 p.m.FORT BRAGG — Justin-Siena High School scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning Thursday to beat No. 2 seed Fort Bragg, 8-4, in the semifinals of the CIF North Coast Section Class A semifinal softball playoffs.

Freshman Hailey Breakwell went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs and Caroline DeVincenzi was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs for Justin-Siena (17-8 overall), the tournament’s No. 3 seed which is 2-0 in the playoffs. The game was played in cold, windy and dusty conditions.

Schwartz singled in the ninth inning. With two out, Taylor Putnam reached on an infield error. Breakwell followed with a two-run single, giving the Braves a 6-4 lead. DeVincenzi had a two-run double in the inning, giving Justin-Siena, a Marin County Athletic League school, a four-run lead.
