Brush fire burned off Sage Canyon Road

3:45 p.m.CalFire crews responded late this morning to a brush fire reported in the 1700 block of Sage Canyon Road. The fire started after a large oak tree fell on to power lines, said a CalFire battalion chief.

Multiple crews and water tenders responded to the scene of a mostly wild grass fire that did not damage any structures..
The fire burned less than 5 acres in the area east of Silverado Trail in the Lake Hennessey area. The fire was contained within 90 minutes, said CalFire.

Chiles Pope Valley Road was closed for about three hours, reopening around 2 p.m., according to CalFire.
