Alvarez lifts Braves in first round of MCAL Tournament

Jeanette Alvarez’s single to right field with two out in the seventh inning scored Caroline DeVincenzi from third base and gave Justin-Siena High School’s softball team a 4-3 win over visiting Tamalpais-Mill Valley in the first round of the Marin County Athletic League Tournament Tuesday.

Daniel Pardini hit leadoff home runs in the first and third innings to spark the Justin-Siena baseball team in a 3-1 win over Terra Linda in the first round of the Marin County Athletic League Tournament on Tuesday night.

Napa Junior Girls Softball, B Division: Abbey Carpets 5, Replay Sports 4

First-place Abbey Carpets edged second-place Replay Sports behind Brooke McClellen’s three-hitter with 13 strikeouts over seven innings. At the plate, McClellen reached base all three times with two hits.  Jazmine Washington had a hit and two runs scored. Alison Demming reached base twice, with one hit, an RBI and one run scored. Olivia Johannsen had a hit and a run scored and Shannon Esser had a hit and two RBIs.
