Queen's ER: Patients are older, cases more complex

It was a typical winter day at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center. At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, 19 patients occupied rooms or awaited treatment at the Queen’s emergency department. Of these, a dozen were more than 50 years old.
