John Mascyzek was undefeated in three events and Casey Tompkins won both throws as the Braves (3-4 MCAL) routed the host Mustangs and barely fell to the Hornets on Thursday.

The Braves got their only points from three athletes in two events during Thursday’s tri-meet at San Marin. In the long jump and 100 meters, respectively, Michael Ronco was third (14-4 1/4) and fifth (14.0), Max Hopkins fifth (13-8) and sixth (14.2), and William Gomez sixth (12-3) and seventh (15.4).

Five members of the Napa Sheriff’s Activities League wrestling program traveled to Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove for the Sacramento Area Wrestling Association Freestyle Championships.

North Bay BMX held its second Redline Cup Qualifier on Sunday at Napa’s Kennedy Park. Some 195 riders competed in 41 heats, or “motos.”
