Hats are off, trees are in
Dear editor, Recently more than 34 neighbors in the River Park Marina area organized to re-plant 69 trees on a Napa River pathway that had been devastated by Dutch Elm disease. The trees were provided by the city and the labor by volunteer neighbors. Hats off to all who helped with this project.
Calling in a compliment
Dear editor, While on my way to meet my family for dinner, a friend dropped me off on the corner of Main and First streets.
Napa businesspeople keep Cope humming
Dear editor, A special thanks to Barbara Wiggins of the Mustard Seed, Rich Lo Cicero of Caffe Cicero, and Lori Wear of Spinelle Jewelers for making our most recent Cope Family Center fundraiser “Girls Night Out” on March 19 such a success.
Simpson's the man for the job
Dear editor, I am an ardent supporter of Gary Simpson for the Napa County Board of Supervisors, as I have admired his work for many years. Politically, Gary and I are a bit different, however, I know that he’s concerned for our community and will always be available to listen to differing views and make sensible decisions.
A Super type of Delegate
Be proud Napa: one of your own is going to Denver as one of California’s 241 delegates to the Democratic National Convention this summer.
