Dear editor, Canyon Oaks Elementary School will be having its Third Annual Save the Arts Festival on May 17.

The festival will feature a silent auction showcasing art projects that the students, with the guidance of local artists, have made.
Canyon Oaks PTA, which consists of many members of the school community, parents, teachers, students and the school principal, along with many local artists, are organizing this important event. In its third year of operation, there are many supplies that the school does not have the budget to purchase and depends on the PTA to pay for in order to enhance the students’ learning experience. With the upcoming budget cuts, it will be even more important that this event be successful.

As part of this fundraising event, we are asking local businesses and companies in American Canyon, Napa, Vallejo and the Bay Area for donations of goods and services to auction alongside the student arts at the art festival. All proceeds from the auction will go towards classroom school supplies, art supplies, programs and technology equipment.
Please help make this event successful. You may contact Lori Robinson at 337-8093, Eduviges Howard at 334-3571 or Christie McMaster at the school if you are interested in participating in this important event. Your generous donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you for supporting our school.
