No new Napa Valley College bond on 2008 ballot

Voters are unlikely to see a new bond measure for Napa Valley College for at least another couple of years.

Wildfire sparked by downed power line

About 560 customers in Rutherford and Oakville lost power for a few hours Saturday after a live power line fell on the ground, triggering a 2-acre wildlfire, according to PG&E and CalFire.

Motorcycle crash

Also on Saturday, a 68-year-old Harley Davidson motorcycle rider was transported to St. Helena Hospital when he and another motorcyclist crashed on Butts Canyon Road, Pope Valley Fire Capt. Phil Burton said. A witness said one of the motorcycles ran off the road near Snell Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m.
