Hospitality Job Faire May 7

A special job faire focusing on the hospitality industry will be held May 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Napa Valley College in the plaza at the entrance of the cafeteria.

About 30 local hospitality businesses will be present to promote a wide variety of part-time and full-time openings including housekeeping, line cooks, sales managers and associates, wine tasters, and many more.
A unique sampling of businesses in attendance include the new Westin Verasa Napa resort, Dean & Deluca/Oakville Grocery, the International Social Events Society and Francis Ford Coppola Presents.

The Workforce Investment Board and  Napa Valley College are collaborating on this event to meet the need identified by local businesses for quality candidates in a high growth industry in Napa County.

The basics of operating green
The next Wake up Your Business Wednesday presented by Napa Valley College SBDC and the Napa Chamber of Commerce Business Builder’s Committee, “The Basics of Operating Green,” will be at the Napa Chamber of Commerce Board Room, April 16, 7:30-9:30 a.m.

The cost is $10.

The workshop focuses on the many benefits of going green.

Learn the basics of operating a green business plus at least 10 things you can do to save money and resources.

The workshop will be presented by green business professionals, Victoria and Paul Rodman, Green Method Construction, co-chairs of Napa Chamber’s green and sustainable practices committee, Toni Renee Vierra, eco-Organize, co-chair of Napa Chamber’s green and sustainable practices committee and Steve Lederer, Bay Area Green Business program coordinator for Napa County.

Wake up Your Business Wednesdays are presented in partnership with the Napa Valley College Small Business Development Center and Napa Chamber of Commerce business builders committee.
