Nicholas Steven Cornwell’s joyride was cut short when he ended up in the back seat of patrol car headed for the county jail.

Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of a person driving recklessly in the Las Flores Community Center Park, tearing up the landscape, Sgt. Debbie Peecook said.
When police confronted Cornwell, he admitted to driving recklessly in the park, Peecook said.

Cornwell was also found to be under the influence of alcohol and is on parole, she said.
Cornwell, 26, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, DUI and parole violation.

" Good, now if they could catch the kids(we all know who you are) who keep vandalizing Northwood Elementary. But the people in that neighborhood are afraid of retaliation, so no one does anything about it. "

" I sure hope that the Napa court system makes sure that this 26 year old jerk makes 100% restitution for all the property damage he has caused to the park. Then, since he was on parole ,and obviously a slow learner let him sit in jail for awhile. "

" IF he is found guilty, then we need to make an EXAMPLE out of him to DETER others! We didn't catch the ones that keyed all of the cars at the hotel a few months back, but we got this one...let's not waste this opportunity. "

" A 26 year old parolee with the maturity level of a 15 year old. I do not believe there's much restitution coming from his arrest. He will get sentenced on misdemeanor charges and returned to CDC for violating his parole. "
