A man was injured Saturday afternoon after his car rolled over on Highway 29 in Yountville, according to police.
The man was southbound on Highway 29 when he tried to use the median to pass a car on the fast lane, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver lost control of his Ford Fusion, flipped several times across two lanes, and ended in a ditch, Napa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Perry said.
The call arrived at 4:16 p.m.
The man was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, Perry said. His name was not readily available.
The crash remains under investigation.
Charges will be filed if the driver’s blood-alcohol content is more than 0.08 percent, Perry said.
The slow lane on southbound Highway 29 through Yountville was closed to traffic as was the on-road ramp from the road that leads to the Veterans Home of California at Yountville as emergency vehicles waited for a tow truck to arrive.
The slow lane was not reopened until after 6 p.m. because of a nearby three-car crash, Perry said. One vehicle failed to slow down and hit two other vehicles,. Perry said there were no injuries.
