Vikings and Tigers and Bears, oh my! It’s NCAA basketball tournament time, and you know what that means: hyper college students stuffed inside hot costumes and trolling the sidelines at the men’s and women’s games for the next 2 1/2 weeks.

I’ve often wondered why some games didn’t offer a cooperative mode, especially shooters. After all, most games are more fun when you’ve got a friend playing alongside you.

The other day, when my weekly magazine “The Week” showed up in my mailbox, the colored cover drawing by a gifted cartoonist stopped me in my tracks.

Several times during my teen years and in my early adult years I was employed by the U.S. Postal Service at the Napa Post Office. I was a mailman.
