Don't fall for it

In recent years, my husband has become unsteady on his feet and sometimes needs help to get back up. I’m not strong enough to get him up off of the floor when he falls. We live at home, with no in-home help. Sometimes I wonder if I should call 911 for something as small as this. It’s not life-threatening or anything and we wouldn’t need an ambulance. We also don’t want to pay for an ambulance — unless it’s an emergency, of course. Is it OK to call 911 for help up off the ground?
