Business buzz: Hog Island Oysters coming to Oxbow Pubic Market in fall

Hog Island Oyster Company, based in Marshall, will open a second Hog Island Oyster Bar at Oxbow Public Market in Napa.

It is expected to open in September.

It will be modeled after the Hog Island Oyster Bar at the San Francisco Ferry Building Marketplace.

Hog Island “Oxbow” will serve market visitors premium, fresh raised oysters on the half shell, gourmet versions of traditional baked oyster classics, organic salads and a daily local, seafood entrée.

“We wanted to take our farm-to-market approach a step further and deliver our oysters fresh from the farm-to-the table,” said John Finger, co-owner and co-founder of Hog Island.
