A Napa man was taken into custody this weekend for fatally stabbing a San Jose man.

Christopher Martin Curtis, 24, was booked into Santa Clara County jail for the murder of Sergiy Pyeshkov, 23, of San Jose, police said.
The stabbing occurred around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Pyeshkov was stabbed following a family dispute between Curtis and him, San Jose Police officer Enrique Garcia said. “Curtis fled the scene and was arrested on Sunday.”
Pyeshkov died en route to the hospital.

Garcia declined to provide details about the homicide, saying that it could jeopardize the investigation. He said he did not know why or how long Curtis had been in the San Jose area.
