What started out as a lovers’ quarrel ended in injuries and an arrest Monday evening.

Ramon Ramirez Jr. of Angwin was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Monday on suspicion of domestic violence against his live-in girlfriend, according to St. Helena Police Cpl. Ramon Jovel.
Ramirez, 22, assaulted the woman early Monday afternoon at Ana’s Cantina during an argument that started at the restaurant and continued inside the couple’s vehicle, Jovel said. Ramirez’ girlfriend sustained bruises on her neck as a result of the attack, police said.
