We Can Live Green’s 365-Day Pledge to Go Green helps you change the world a little bit every day. The pledge includes an idea for every day of the year. For some, the advice may be obvious, but for others, it can start a lifestyle transformation.

Here’s the first week’s to-do list:
Day 1: Stop junk mail. You hate it. So does the environment. Go to www.directmail.com/directory/mail-preference to stop junk mail.

Day 2: Set up an online banking account. Buy a recycled paper journal.
Day 3: Set up bill pay online with your new online banking account. You will save trees, stamps and free time.

Day 4: Take a look in your fridge. What organic products do you have in your fridge? Start to educate yourself on organic products.
Day 5: Make your grocery list for the week. Vow to buy three organic foods and one vegetarian food tomorrow when you go grocery shopping.

Day 6: Go grocery shopping. Use a farmer’s market, co-op or organic foods store. Check Web sites such as www.coopamerica.org and www.localharvest.org for details on farmer’s markets and co-ops near you.

Day 7: If you don’t already recycle, look into recycling centers in your area. Find out what materials they will take and the way in which they accept the materials.
