Dear editor, There is credible evidence that the president abused the power of his office, and not only brought us into an unnecessary war but violated the civil liberties and privacy of American citizens. It is the constitutional duty of Congress to hold impeachment hearings.

" Ususlly one should feel obligated to offer some substantial evidence to support their argument.
Besides, Hillary isn't even in office. "

" There must have been some marketing push by DeadAir America or MoveOverdotorg to get their minions to repeat this mantra to the local news media. They are all basically the same, word for word and they never have any actual facts or specific charges. Maybe they win a prize or something? I can understand the Libs frustration with Congress, they thought they were electing "change" and instead they got empty promises. Exactly the same thing they are going to get from their leading Dem Presidential candidates... "

" If you read the Constitution, something I have done many times, you will find that it lists what the president and all other "civil officers" can be impeached for. The list includes "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." What constitutes a high crime or misdemeanor is usually left to Congress to determine, since misdemeanors are, by definition, "lesser crimes." You will notice, I am sure, that Janice Morrish's "abuse of power" isn't included in the list. And so once again we find a the same, tired argument being made without any supporting evidence and without any actual legal basis on which to stand. "

" Let us meet in the political middle: We’ll right our congressional representatives calling for committee impeachment investigations in exchange for the simultaneously implementing the Sedation Act as signed by President Wilson….deal?

" As a long-time Dem. Why waste the time and money? There are a number of reasons to impeach President Bush. He's leaving soon. Let's plan for the future, not waste time on impeachment. "

" What's the matter Janice? You know, my kids have temper tantrums too when they don't get their way. It would be easier to work with President Bush and his administration if the wacko left was not calling for impeachment every 5 minutes. Besides, where's the evidence of ANY wrong-doing? "

" The Bush-enablers and hagiographers have spoken! What do we need a Constitution for anyway? Torture is OK if Bush authorizes it. Universal wiretaps are OK if Bush authorizes it. Kidnapping and murder (rendition) are OK if Bush authorizes it. -- "9-11 Changed Everthing" sounds like a mantra to me. -- And finally, what else could entertain nearly as well as Bush stuttering, stammering and tap-dancing to explain why he started illegal felony wiretapping BEFORE 9-11? ~Ruff "

" That would be Bill Clinton's wiretapping program called "Echelon". You remember? The one the NY Times said was "troublesome" but "necessary" to protect the country. I'm sure it didn't just "end" with Bill's Presidency. Same game, just different rules when the President has an "R" behind his name... "
