The Napa Valley Register publishes monthly statistics on arrests and convictions for driving under the influence — and so-called “wet reckless” convictions — in Napa County. Statistics are published in print the first Monday of each month and online when they become available.

Nearly 800 people made it inside the Napa Valley Opera House this afternoon to hear former President Bill Clinton stump for his wife for about 90 minutes.

Bill Clinton’s public appearance in Napa Wednesday marks only the fourth confirmed visit to the Napa Valley by a president or former president of the United States.

The event was billed as “Clinton Rally Napa.”

The Napa Valley Opera House has seen some famous figures in its day: Susan B. Anthony spoke there in the 1890s. Jack London took the stage once upon a time, and in the late 1890s and early in the 20th century, the hall hosted political stump speeches and town meetings.
