Generosity and joggers

Dear editor, As we wrap up our 2007 Jog-A-Thon fundraiser at St. John the Baptist Catholic School, I would like to publicly thank the many people who helped to make it a success.

Our business sponsors contributed more than $8,000 to our event this year. Along with the efforts of our students and their family and friends, we raised a combined total of more than $28,000. The contribution of each student, staff member, business sponsor, alum and volunteer made a difference in the outcome of this event.

Special thanks to our principal, Mrs. Jordan, for her support. Mrs. Jordan, along with our seventh-grade teacher, Mrs. Picard, and our talented student council entertained and motivated our students along the way. With the support of so many throughout the year, St. John the Baptist Catholic School is able to continue to offer standards-based education along with the latest technology in a Christian environment. As chairperson for the Jog-A-Thon for the past several years, I am constantly amazed at the generosity of so many people. Thank you!
