Former Napa City Council member and current Napa Sentinel publisher Harry Martin is running against incumbent County Supervisor Mark Luce for the Dist. 2 seat.

Is Martin a better choice than Luce or the other challenger, Napa Valley Land Stewards Alliance president Mike Rodrigues?
Who do you support and why ... and do this without attacks on the other candidates.

" Absolutely better than Napa Valley Land Stewards Alliance(aka build build build it and they WILL come!!!) president Rodrigues (was this on purpose?)!! Mark Luce is okay but Harry will curtail ill planned and dumb growth where the others have not had the cojones to do so. "

" Harry Martin is, without a doubt, a concerned and active citizen. He has his beliefs and ideas. And, with all real respect, he publishes a rotogravure that lends a certain balance to those who study local issues. He has the power to use his publication to put those who disagree with him in a bad light. This is one part of the definition of conflict of interest. Even when there is no name beneath the headline, the style is clearly that of the publisher, editor and owner. Few Napans actually know who Mark Luce is as he does not have the notoriety of Mr. Martin. No fault can be assigned to Mr. Luce as he most likely cannot afford to use the press as Mr. Martin is capable of doing. To some, Mr. Luce has made great efforts to protect the will of The People in his district. The same can be said of Mr. Martin when he was on the Napa City Council. I live in the County and not in Mr. Luce’s district. What I am saying here is that the voter has as much an obligation to study the issues and research the past. This particular race comes down to what each of these and, other candidates are committed. As I said, I am not residing in that district. I do have respect for both candidates and merely want to encourage the reader to research, study and come to an intelligent conclusion. What a concept? Would that the Presidential candidates be as easy to choose. Merry Christmas to all. "

" Harry Martin care about Napa. Enough said. "

" Harry Martin would be an excellent candidate. Napa Valley Land Stewards Alliance would like to turn our valley into another Santa Clarita. Would you like to see this county double it's population in 10 years? If not, vote for Harry Martin. As it is we are about 1000 homes away from having summer Spare the Air days in the Napa Valley and at that point there may be nothing to stop the waves of development. "
