Barrels, turkeys needed at Food Bank

Napa Valley Food Bank is in immediate need of food collection barrels. All their barrels are either full of food or out at collection sites around the community.

The need is dire, because food that has already come in needs to be sorted into food groups for preparation of family allotments. There are currently no empty barrels in which to sort. There is also a list of folks waiting to facilitate food drives.
If anyone has any barrels they could donate or lend to the Food Bank — or if anyone knows of a place such barrels could be obtained, contact the Napa Valley Food Bank at 253-6128. Food Bank drivers are available to pick them up. If anyone has Food Bank barrels that are not being used, please call the Food Bank for a pickup.

The Food Bank is still in need of turkeys. They are giving a turkey to every family that comes to the Food Bank this month, and unless they continue to receive turkeys, many clients counting on that turkey for Christmas will be disappointed./Register
