Try this quiz: Take 2 points each time you answer “yes,” 1 point for “sometimes” and 0 points for “no.”

1. Do you like your coffee or tea black?
2. Do you like the taste of scotch?

3. Do you prefer salty flavors to sweet ones?
4. Do you prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate?

5. Do you feel that putting cream or sugar in coffee or tea RUINS the beverage?
7-10: You’re a “tolerant taster.” Tannins don’t bother you, and you often prefer more intense flavors.

4-6: You’re a “sensitive taster.” Some powerful wines don’t please you.

0-3: You’re a “hypersensitive taster,” keenly aware of tannins, bitterness and acid flavors. And, you’re probably a woman.
