Early morning mischief landed two Napa teenagers in jail on Sunday.

The Napa Police Department reported that the two teens -- described as Hispanic juveniles ages 16 and 17-- were breaking into a car parked on the 3600 block of Solano Avenue around 5 a.m. Sunday.
Police said that the vehicle's owner saw the boys breaking into his car and confronted them. The boys ran away and the car's owner gave chase.

One of the boys stopped and turned to face the man, while the other boy threw a glass jar at him. Fearing for his safety, the man left and called police, who returned to the area and located the two teenagers on Solano Avenue.
Officers arrested the teens, whose names were withheld because of their age, on suspicion of strong-arm robbery. The teens were taken to juvenile hall.

" These parents clearly need to lock their children in their rooms at night, or maybe teach them right from wrong, that would be a plus. "

" I wonder if these are the same kids that tried to steal my car on Thanksgiving morning around 6:30 am. I had to work on Thanksgiving. My windsheild had frozen over, so I started my car and ran back into the house for a couple of minutes to get my cup' o' joe and my lunch. I was also burning a CD for my car. When I stopped in the den to get the new CD, I saw a car pull up out in front of my house and a young man get out of the car. It was dark, so I could only see his silhouette. He made his way to my driveway. By that time, I was outside yelling "Hey, what are you doing?" The young man shouted to his driving friend to get going because somebody had come outside. The car drove rapidly down the block and I could not get an ID or liscense plate number. I live on Moffitt Drive. "

" Nice to think these kiddos will get a few weekends in juvi and let free after that. They should be charged as adults, made to do community service and have something they own stolen from them. "
