A traffic stop landed a 22-year-old Napa woman in jail Saturday.

Police records show that Mary Cabrera was driving a vehicle with expired registration tags when she was stopped by police at 5:15 p.m.
She was unable to provide them with identification and officers discovered that she was driving with a suspended license police said.

The officers discovered some methamphetamine inside Cabrera’s vehicle and determined that she was driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Police also found a glass smoking pipe on Cabrera, police said.
The passenger in the vehicle, Antonio Garcia, 30, was also arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

" There really appears to be a serious meth problem going on in this town. I cant believe how many articles there have been lately for people being stopped for random traffic citations and caught possessing methamphetamine. This is scary. Its only a matter of time before this is the new drug to try at high school. "

" I cant beleive that people are now finally relizing how bad the meth problem is or drugs in general in this town. The majority of this town is on some kind of drugs or alchohol,Most of those people on meth. alot of them are people we know and work with everyday and most people arent the wiser until its printed in the paper. " To two cents; I believe the NSIB has been a unit of the police/sheriff's department for more than 20 years...trust me when I tell you that there has always been a meth problem in this town, and people have been trying it in HS since the mid-late 80's. "

" To Two Cents, a matter of time? I hate to be the bearer of bad news. "

" Sadly, Two Cents, they are only scratching the surface of the drug problem in the county. Meth, cocaine, pot or any other substance you desire is readily available at the middle and elementary schools. I guarantee that you would be floored to find out how many people you interact with on a daily basis that are under the influence. It is a serious problem. "
