NapaStyle is recalling their Romano Pitchers and Tumblers because of concerns they may contain high levels of leachable lead.

Both items are manufactured in Italy, according to a NapaStyle spokesperson on Friday afternoon.
The company began notifying customers on Sept. 20.

No illnesses have been reported.
NapaStyle has been selling the items in its catalog and store between April 3 and June 25 of this year.

An estimated 94 units have been sold by NapaStyle.
The Napa-based company said the recall was the result of a routine FDA test showing the items may contain lead introduced in the manufacturing process by a supplier.

Recalled products are a 44 oz. pitcher and four tumblers. The SKU numbers are 4410, 4411 and 4710. The pieces are roughly glazed, with streaks of dark brown clay showing through a variegated green finish.

NapaStyle was created by Michael Chiarello in 2000. Its headquarters are on Gateway Drive in south Napa. There are retail stores and an Internet catalog, which sell kitchen cookware, tabletop items, furniture and home and garden items, among other items.

Chiarello operated Tra Vigne in St. Helena and other restaurants and is a cookbook author and host of a cooking show on the Food Network. He also operates Chiarello Family Vineyards.

The company asks consumers to return the products for a full refund within 30 days. The number for NapaStyle Customer Service is 1-866-776-1600.
