A Fairfield woman was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital on Friday morning after she rammed her car into a power pole.

Sheryllcq Biana, 48, was westbound on Imola Avenue, near Granada Avenue, when her car drifted off the road and slammed into the power pole, police said.
Biana, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered severe head injuries when her head hit the windshield, Napa Police Sgt. Paul Paniagua said.

Paniagua said officers who responded to the scene detected a strong odor of alcohol inside Biana’s vehicle. She was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center and then taken by helicopter to Santa Rosa.

" Ouch! People complain that the seat belt is too uncomfortable. I suppose a cranial impact with the windshield leaves one feeling much more warm and fuzzy. "
