Tribute at the library
Friends of the Napa City-County Library will host a Tribute to Veterans at the Library Community Room 6:30-8:30 p.m. While all veterans who contributed to preserving the freedoms we enjoy today will be honored, special recognition will be given to World War II vets. Music from that era will be provided by the Napa Jazz Trio (bassist Jay Goetting, pianist Dan Davidson and saxophonist Kent Cohea). There will also be short readings from “The Greatset Generation” and other books describing those wartime conditions at home and abroad. Refreshments include homemade cookies and apple pie. The event is free but reservations are suggested due to limited space. If you have a family member who is a WWII veteran you would like to see given special recognition on this special day, or to make reservations contact Mike Joell at mjoell@napanet.net or 252-0708.
