" America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook: I love this book because I'm just a simple lay-person trying to cook a meal, not a gourmet chef. I like the notes on what works and what doesn't, and the simple instructions for best outcome. I picked this up at Costco in a binder-style book similar to the old Betty Crocker cookbooks. If you like the show on PBS, you'll like the cookbook, as well. It really covers the basics and some fun extras, all with nice illustrations. "
