Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living
Rev. Janet Garvey-Stanvik continues her November talks on gratitude. St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
In November, St. John’s celebrates its 150th anniversary. Organizers are collecting memorabilia, including photographs, news clips, drawings, illustrations, booklets or other mementos of the church, parish or school. Photos of any of the three buildings that have housed the church over the years are especially appreciated, as are pictures of church and school events. Seventh-day Adventist Church
This Saturday’s service, “The More I See, the Less I Know,” is led by Pastor Marvin Wray, at 11:15 a.m. The Napa Community Seventh-day Adventist Church also invites you to witness the brilliant vocal harmonies and inspired lyrical creativity of uncompromising testimonies in an evening with the Heritage Singers on Nov. 10, beginning at 5 p.m. Admission is free. Craft Fair &
Sweet Shoppe
The St. Apollinaris Catholic Church Office of Religious Education sponsors the 13th annual Craft Fair & Sweet Shoppe on Nov. 10, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Nov. 11, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the church hall at 3700 Lassen St., Napa. Handcrafted gifts include folk art, jewelry, stained glass, country collectibles, floral arrangements, Christmas ornaments, holiday decorations and original angel artistry. Unitarian Universalist
Richard de la Chaumiere, a Napa author, psychologist and philosopher, speaks on “Some Types of Truth Seekers,” Nov. 11 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of North Bay. De la Chaumiere notes “the great French skeptic (and wine merchant) Montaigne says, ‘What can anyone understand who cannot understand himself?’” The fellowship meets at 11 a.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Napa Valley, 1515 W. Pueblo Ave., Napa. Visitors are welcome and child care is provided.

Unity Church
Nov. 11 is “Friendship Sunday.” Rev. St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s holds the Holiday House Boutique on Nov. 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring 20 crafters’ booths, baked goods and a raffle. Lunch is served by the youth group. Come to the boutique to help support the guild’s outreach programs. The raffle and baked goods sale continues the following Sunday morning.
Thanksgiving service
The Napa Interfaith Council presents its annual Community Thanksgiving Service, a Gathering in Gratitude, on Nov. 18, 6-7:30 p.m. at Congregation Beth Sholom, 1455 Elm St., Napa. The Voena Children’s Choir is featured throughout the evening, along with faith leaders representing various local churches, temples and faith communities. Refreshments are served. Foothill Christian Fellowship
The mission is to assist all those who are committed to taking their lives to the next level through personal, spiritual and professional success. Come enjoy the live band play contemporary music and experience the friendly atmosphere. Sunday service begins at 10:30 a.m. Kids’ classes include Noah’s Park: Little Ones (up to age 2), Noah’s Park: Juniors (ages 3 to 5) and Kidsquake (ages 6 to 11).
