The preliminary hearing for Modesto resident Willis Creech, 31, was continued from Wednesday to Nov. 16. Creech is charged with five counts of attempted murder after police say he fired a shotgun into a Dry Creek Road home on Sept. 15. Although Creech’s wife, two children and two other people were in the home at the time of the shooting, nobody was hurt.
During the majority of his court appearance on Wednesday, Creech stood behind a frosted glass portion of the partition in the courtroom, away from view. He is being held without bail at the county jail.
