Red carpet treatment

Dear editor, I am writing this letter in recognition of outstanding service and dedication to our community by Janice Clifton and Abbey Carpets Unlimited in Napa.

Janice and her staff have shown amazing generosity to the Wolfe Center. The Wolfe Center is a county-based, nonprofit outpatient treatment program for teens who are using alcohol and other drugs in Napa County. It is our mission to provide prevention, treatment, learning support and youth development services that reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug abuse on our youth, families, schools and communities. We rely heavily on community support to accomplish these goals, and we have certainly found that support in Janice Clifton.

In 2004, as we were building our treatment facility at 2310 First St., Janice allowed us to carpet our entire building in functional, easy-to-clean, high-quality carpets at cost. Most recently, Janice donated two beautiful new carpets for use in our relocatable classroom units at Valley Oak High School. We use these relocatable classroom spaces to conduct group therapy sessions and prevention programs on location at Valley Oak High School. Because of Janice and Abbey Carpets, our classroom units are comfortable, well-appointed spaces that are conducive to a therapeutic environment.

We would like to commend Janice and her staff at Abbey Carpets for her generosity and commitment to the Wolfe Center and the community of Napa.
