Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley issues a report on the Napa real estate market twice a year, and some of its statistics are very interesting:

• The number of active listings in Napa County was up substantially from the first half of last year, but the number of total sales transactions was down.
• The median home prices in Napa dropped from $609,000 to $590,000 and houses were on the market an average of 75 instead of 65 days. Not a catastrophe by any means.

• Even pricey St. Helena, where 43 homes were sold instead of 63, saw a dip, from $1.15 million to $1.105 million,
