" Question for Rudy Guiliani? Why did you 'drop out' of the 9-11 commission to go on a cash-cow speaking engagement tour? And why do the NY firefighters STILL not have the radios that could have saved lives on 9-11-2001? ~Ruff "

" I would ask him to comment on Mrs. Bill Clinton's remark (on the Sunday talk circuit) that she would NOT promise to remove the troops from Iraq if elected. "

" I would ask if elected how he plans to fund Health Care and make assurence that it is avaiable to everyone thus taking the load off the emergency rooms across the nation. "

" Do you even have a platform of any kind? OR is your only qualification that you happened to be a mayor on 9/11? "

" If I could be there, I would ask him to swear and promise that he will not let Congress and the Supreme Court Justices overturn Roe v Wade. Please ask him if he would like to have someone dictate what happens to his body. I want a direct answer on his pro-choice stance. "

" Ruff, with all the power and muscle those unions have, how come THEY havent gotten off their own union butts, and obtained those radios themselves? Smacks of the same mental attitude the so called poor in New Orleans have taken; poor poor me, throw money MY way, whilst doint NOTHING to better their own positions. Typical governmental dependence. Step up to the plate, oh glorified union bosses, and do it for your own members! THEN you can crow about THAT too! "

" To Gabrial: And you know that the "union bosses" haven't been screaming for those radios? No you don't. All the union can do is negotiate and show cause for need, but they cannot buy radios. Why do yu have so much animosity toward folks who have had tradedy in their lives, including losing their lives in many cases? Sad. "

" Since when is a city and the folks running that city absolved from buying good equipment for their firefighters, "Gabriel"? Your attempt to shift responsibility from management to workers sounds soooo... Republican and certainly not angelic. ~Ruff "

" So, did the NVR get to ask Guiliani any questions at all? The man has blood on his hands, not just from 9-11 but from his actions in the Diallo case as well. "

" Republican....good must mean Gab knows what he's talking about. "

" You have got to be kidding on the radio thing. The fireman's and other public unions were practically running the city. They somehow managed to work a deal to get all their overtime included in their highest years pay used to calculate their retirements in the middle of all that. After all the overtime they got that year, 3200 fireman retired at once leaving NY bereft of personnel, at huge retirement pay with cost of living increases that New Yorkers are going to be stuck paying for for decades. That is where your money went for the radio's. I like Guiliani, and I have a read a lot of the criticism of him, but not much of it is really going to stick. You can argue about the radio's but they have to cut costs somewhere. The thing that concerns me and that I would have asked him about is his stand on torture. I think the Bush administrations willingness to torture innocent people in Iraq is a shame on America. Guiliani is going to be another torture President I fear. "

" Rudy , Why did you lie about the quality of air at WTC in late Sept.2001 when DEP ,city agency, told you there were high levels of asbestos? Why did first responders not get proper fitted respirators until Nov 2001 and now 70% of them have 9/11 illnesses and why haven't you lifted a finger to help the sick and dying first responders , was it that you were too busy making tens of millions of dollars speaking about 9/11? Why did you order new radios for firemaen in 2000 without field testing them as required and a no bid illegal contract and tell the firefighters that Boston and Chicago had those radios, when they rejected them and then those radios you ordered failed within 1 week and were pulled and the old defective radios that failed at WTC in 1993 were placed back in service and the firefighters were using those old radios on 9/11. Why would you now release an Emergegenc y Preparedness plan with Louis Freeh (FBI) Tom Von Essen FDNY and Richie Sheirer OEM as leaders and advisors when they all failed us on 9/11? those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Rudy how come on 9/11 OEM had no emergency hi rise plan and didn't hold one drill at WTC site from 1993 to 2001. SOME PREPAREDNESS. "
