3 p.m.Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani is scheduled to be in Yountville Friday for a public event, but his campaign staff said they do not yet have details finalized as to what location or time.

"It will be something for the local voters," said Jarred Agen, a regional representative for the Giuliani campaign, who added the campaign hopes to have the time and location available Thursday.
Reader Forum: What questions do you have for Rudy?

Giuliani, former New York mayor, is in the midst of a west coast campaign tour, with scheduled Friday public events in both Los Angeles and Yountville.
On Thursday, the campaign's schedule shows Giuliani receiving an endorsement from an unnamed group in Santa Monica, stopping at a cafe in Santa Barbara to talk with voters and going to a fundraiser in Lancaster in southern California.

On Saturday, his schedule shows the candidate heading to Palm Springs, Portland and Seattle.
Check back here for the time and location once the campaign staff lets us know.

" I will bet that the libs and Dems will object to his coming here. But, they didn't object to Iran's President coming to our country. "

" That's a bit of an unnecessary inflammatory remark... this is coming from a democrat who doesn't like Iran's president. :) As for presidential elections, we can hardly stick to party lines -- I'll be interested to hear what Rudy has to say. "

" I personally don't like any of the candidates, but I could care less if they come to Napa, or anywhere for that matter. "

" I wouldn't walk as far as my backyard to listen to Mayor Giuliani speak. Mr. Giuliani has sought to shamelessly exploit the events of September 11, 2001, for personal and political profit. He has pandered to the religion-besotted, authoritarian followers currently comprising a significant percentage of today's Republican Party. He advocates anti-labor, anti-family, anti-environment, and unconstitutional views. Mr. Giuliani might visit Yountville, but he has absolutely no chance of winning California's electoral votes in 2008. "

" Conservative on defense and economics, libertarian on social issues...sounds good to me. Now, if he would only join the NRA... "
