The Area Agency on Aging serving Napa and Solano announces Josie Lopez as the Latina outreach coordinator.

Lopez attended San Jose State University and served as the director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program in Oakland. She will provide information and help Latino elders, adults with disabilities and caregivers to access community resources, health and social services. She will also provide outreach and education to Latino communities on health-related topics such as disease prevention and management of chronic conditions, consumer protection and elder abuse, fall prevention and mental health issues.
Sue King, direct services supervisor for the AAA said, “We are delighted to have Josie on our team. Having a bilingual, bicultural staff member will help us reach the underserved Latino population in Solano and Napa counties.”/Register
