Police confronted Juan Luis Valdivia on Wednesday evening while investigating a report of 12-year-old girl runaway.

Valdivia was arrested on numerous outstanding traffic warrants, which gave police the go-ahead to search his vehicle.
During the search, officers found items belonging to the runaway, police said.

Valdivia admitted to investigators being with the young girl and having sexual intercourse with her on two occasions, police said.
Valdivia, 23, of Napa was arrested on suspicion of two counts of lewd acts upon a child and the outstanding warrants.

" 12 years old and they only say it was child molestation? This is a underage rape even if it was consensual. There is no way a 23 year old man should be even close to a 12 year old like that. Disgusting. "

" That is just disgusting! I'm sorry, but I have a 13 and a 10 year old. Believe me, there is not a moment that I don't know where they are at and what they are doing. Where are these childs parents? I'm not the perfect parent by any means, but I think I would know (I hope) what my 12 year old daughter is up to! What is ups with these girls that would go with these creeps! I just don't get it. "
