7-Eleven ride ends with stolen car, arrest

A Napan giving two out-of-towners a ride to a convenience store Tuesday ended up having her car stolen instead.

The woman was giving John Eoratti of Riverside and Casey Jones of North Carolina ta ride to the 7-Eleven at Silverado Trail and Clark Street, according to Napa Police.

When the woman went in to the convenience store, Eoratti and Jones drove away in her car, police said.

Police spotted the car going southbound on Highway 29 and stopped the pair.

Eoratti, 21, was charged with DUI and vehicle theft, according to police. Jones, 22, was charged with possession of stolen property and both were booked in to the county jail.

" Iiiiidiots. Rule #1: Don't steal a car in Napa Valley. There are only, what, 4-5 ways to get out of this county? Sheriff's/CHP/PD only need to put a person at each exit (29 to the north and south, silverado trail north, monticello rd east...) "

" We learn it as children....rule #1...dont talk to strangers, let alone invite them into your vehicle! And a woman to boot, giving 2 men she didn't know a ride? She's lucky their crime wasn't more serious than taking her car, and this should serve as a solemn lesson - never offer a ride to those you do not know. "

" Don't steal a car in Napa county because of limited escape routes? How about DON'T STEAL!!!! Oh, and for those that think the police only spend their time at Starbuck's, it would appear that not all police are sipping coffee. As for a woman giving two men she didn't know a ride? Ya, you're right. Not smart. Leaving strangers unattended in your car, and not taking the keys? More not smart. I think we are seeing an example of the whole "Brains versus Trains" thing. "
