In keeping with one of Mark Twain’s famous quotes, “If you don’t read the newspaper you are uninformed. If you do read the newspaper you are misinformed,” I opine as follows.

Dear editor, Early last May, I was given a speeding ticket on Highway 113. It’s located off 80 and runs through Davis and towards Woodland. I was driving 93 mph in a 65 mph zone. No, I am not saying that I was in the right; I was indeed speeding at 93 mph.

Dear editor, As a member of the City of St. Helena Climate Protection Task Force, I found myself becoming much more aware of energy conservation.
