Public Works to the rescue

Dear editor,

We've had a street light out in front of our home for a long time. Everyone says don't waste your time calling the city to get if fixed; they won't even answer the phone. I finally got on the Internet, looked up the Public Works phone number and gave them a call. It didn't take but a few seconds for a nice lady to answer the phone and ask how she could help me. I gave her the four digit number off the light pole and my address, and she told me she would put in a work order to have it checked out. I was pretty proud of myself, thinking maybe some day they really would fix the street light. The very next day, I'm out walking my dogs, and there's a Napa City truck with a bucket lift parked under the light. The light bulb was replaced this morning, and tonight the street light shines bright. Thank you, city of Napa Public Works. I'm more than happy with your fine service.
