As Barry Bonds strives to break baseball's career home run record and we debate whether or not he really deserves that record without at least a large asterisk, we should take time to pay tribute to the truly great baseball player -- and person -- whose record he is about to break.

On Tuesday, July 24, the Napa Valley Register front page article stated that a segment of our population that is now part of the minority will the majority by 2030 ("Napa's changing face"). I have a very serious question that I think only a politician or president could answer.
