" I received my copy of the book about 20 minutes after its release and read throughout the night. On closing the book I found I had tears running down my cheeks. Not so much because of the events that unfold in the book but because of the sheer emotion evoked by the genius of JK Rowling. And because I finally realised and accepted that the journey has reached it's inevitable end. And what an ending it is. I have long since run out of superlatives when it comes to the Harry Potter series! Book 7 seven is undoubtedly the best of the lot. I was 13 when the journey started and am 22 at its end. I've grown up with Harry Potter - from child to adult. It's been magical... "

Book 7 is fast-paced, thrilling, often un-expected and sometimes endearingly familiar. Thanks Ms. Rowling. "

" I just finished after an all nighter. I have an enormus headache. When " someone " died i nearly cried ( wink wink ). But, at the end it was so good i forgot about it. I thought the horcruxes seemed to be kind of spread to thin like the cup. I also don't get how the US cover fit in. Overall probably my favorite book except for certain things. I wish it didn't get so confusing at points. The er, Hallows were really interesting exceot kind of useless don't cha think? "

Disappointed.... wrote on Jul 21, 2007 10:28 PM:

" Before anyone reads the “Disappointed” subject line and thinks 'Die, Potter Hater!', listen to what I have to say. I have been a Potter lover since the beginning and was SO excited for the final book. Half-Blood Prince was BRILLIANT and really kept me on the edge with all of the questions that would be answered in The Deathly Hallows. So, naturally I dived into the last book with gusto, just to be “Disappointed.” Perhaps it was because Half-Blood Prince was so good and had so many internal struggles that delved into the characters psyche that I found the last book wanting. Things that were really important to me, like #1 Is Snape good or evil? #2 Will Draco succumb to Voldemort or will he see the light? #3 Will Harry die in the end? Although The Deathly Hallows provides all of the answers, it does it in a “who cares” sort of an attitude, or makes things that you would think would be important, just seem trite. I found myself thinking, “Oh, so and so dies….hmmm….moving on.” The Deathly Hallows just does not have the same emotional connection with the reader that Half-Blood Prince had, and in short made the series seem anti-climatic. Sadly, I finish the series not with the sense of “Wow, what a journey this has been!”, but rather, “Hmm, guess that’s done….oh well.” "

" It is intense, I tell you, intense. From beginning to end. I've not read other books that are this intense from the beginning. The end is just. And yes, several loyal Potter fans can hold their head up high on a spot on observation in terms of a specific "horcrux", though not entirely. I love it. I really do wish there are more to it. But of course ... the journey has to end at some point doesnt it? It's a great journey, and I am glad I've been a part of it. :) "

Since gr.2 I have read the books.......now I'm in gr.9........shows how interesting they have been........read the 7th book, its great but do NOT skip to the end or you will regret it later.......its worth the wait! For years now I have waited for the final book to come......and when it did I loved it! It intruged me like no other book which I have read. The seventh book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Gallows is just marvellous. I would certainly recommend the Harry Potter series to anyone, child or adult as it takes your mind on a journey beyond the unthinkable. "

Not only are there tons of adventures to experience and dangers to face, there are also new mysteries to solve and understand. All your favorite characters are back. Some do die and a few are shockers. But all in all, it is a satisfying end to a glorious saga. "

I mean, we lost some dear ones and Snape, oops I'm not supposed to spoil it for others. We lost some dear ones but the closest one to our hearts survived and that's just the best part of it all. "

" I liked the way it all ended up wrapping up. A lot of my predictions held, and then were added to. There was a lot of deduction and fast-moving plot and it kept you on the edge of your seat. I had anticipated the possible disappointment, but I ended up being able to accept everything fairly normally. I imagine the book will grow on me more, especially as I reread it. It's always hard to adjust to changes, and this is the climactic finish. But I think most people will be reasonably pleased with how Rowling managed to end the series. "

aprilw wrote on Jul 22, 2007 10:22 AM:

" I was pleased with the book, over all, however there were a few things that I thought could have been a bit better...like the suspense. There wasn't really a lot of it, but the journey was indeed a great one. I only shed a single tear when a certain character died, unlike bawling my eyes out and having to take a break when Sirius died. All in all though, JK did a GREAT job, and I know that the ending just had to be the way it is! "

Whoddunit wrote on Jul 22, 2007 10:29 AM:

" As always, JK Rowling never fails to rivet her readers. In the past 24 hours, you couldn't unglue me from Deathly Hallows even if Voldemort himself walked into my room to 'expelliarmus' the book from my fingers. But, much as I was held in suspense for most of the chapters in the book. I felt that it wasn't the best written book of the series. There were a lot of transitioning thoughts between Voldemort and Harry that weren't very smooth. I often had to back track wondering to myself "wait a minute I thought he was in...". I was also less emotionally connected to the deaths. Like the recent movie, I felt I didn't have enough time to grieve for Hedwig, Dobbie, Lupin, Tonks and Fred. There were also a lot of descriptions that were very vague as in the manner of how Crabbe dies - it sort of trails off until Ron mentions in dialogue that he is actually dead. In any case I don't mean to sound like the book was poorly written, JK Rowling does a great job of the book. The loose ends wrap up like a neat package and everything is made right again in the Wizarding World. Peace out! "

Tracy wrote on Jul 22, 2007 10:33 AM:

" It is a geat piece of literature, but I was let down on a couple of things. I didn't like the way Dumbledore was portrayed in the end. He lost his fatherly feeling. I also think that way too many characters were killed off. It would have been nice if a few were not really dead. I did enjoy the Snape twists and turns though. With all of that being said, I couldn't put the book down. "

" I thought it was a good book but i was slightly disappointed. I felt that JKR was possibly rushed writing the book. To me the book didn't feel like it had any pauses in it at all. It was one thing after another and not much character development. I thought if she'd taken more time it could have been a much better book. It was also extremely predictable. Nearly all the conspiracies on the internet are correct or very close. I think it was a great book but a disappointint end to an otherwise extraoridinary series. "

DON'T "skip ahead"......this is a begining to ending "rollercoaster ride" for the ages! "

" Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was an amzing book, that kept you on the edge of your seat the entire way. The one thing that disappointed me was the epilouge. J.K.R. did a wonderderful job making the books unpredictable; however, after finishing the story I knew what was going to happen in the epilouge. Also, the epilouge could have covered more, such as proffesions, and more personal life. (If you read the book you know what I mean.) Other than that, the book was incredible. 9.5/10 "

" Wow...This book was amazing. By far the best in the series. The plot was very entertaining and all my questions were answered. I was surprised at how emotional I got reading the book. At one point I was crying so hard I had to put the book down and compose myself. I thought I had run out of tears but when the book ended I cried like a baby. It is a journey I never wanted to end. I grew up with the characters and am glad I got to come along for the ride. These books will always remain in my heart and I will never forget what a big part of my childhood they were. "

" I'm soory to say but I cried for hours straight. This book has had me staying awake well into the morning and sleeping during the day since the release at midnight but it was all utterly worth it. The plot did seem to rush, and it appeared quite easy to make predictions throughout the book. I was quite disappointed with the epilogue as I wastrying very hard at adding up ages, matching the children with the adults and whatnot. I wished there could have been more closure as to what exactly happened to Bill, Fleur, George, Luna, Hagrid, and many more. Oh well, I suppose it's up to my imagination to work out the rest. I only wonder if little James's middle name is Sirius... "

" Although I enjoyed the book immensely, me being a huge supporter of the idea of a Harry/Severus friendship (or more) was sorely disappointed when all hopes of that died. Yeah, yeah, sixth book helped to demolish it, but who woulda thunk (in the group of Harry/Sev supporters) it was really so impossible. And I think the epilogue could've explained more about everyone else, but I guess Jo figured we had enough imagination to fill in the blanks. Still though, I can't help but wonder about the ring. What if someone else finds it? Well, I guess that's it, TTFN! "

" Simply put...the Deathly Hallows just does not have the same emotional connection that the other books have had. While the first half seems to be the slow half , the second half doesn't bring closure to many of the characters. And, if there was closure...it was much too vague and quick. The huge jump to the end left me of course wondering again about the original characters (still alive) that JK Rowling abandoned. "

" I also enjoyed the final book. I wish there was more of a closure for the Harry-Dursley relationship. Also, what happened to the Dumbledore-Petunia "remember the one"? The interaction between Harry-Dudley was nice to see. The twists and turns along the way to the wonderful ending kept me on the edge of my seat. The epilogue was great, but I would enjoy finding out what happened to the rest of the characters! I wish this wasn't the end! I love the entire series. "

J.K.R. did fall a bit flat on the epilogue but I think that leaves room for her to write others books concerning the wizarding world and not be completely about Harry-Overall excellent read-over and over again. " I liked the book. But J.k.R could have done better. Although the treatment of Snape was nice. I found that book lacked in aspects. I agree with many who feel that parts of story was rushed and lacked the finess which Rowling usually shows. Also, the epilogue was too breif. Some parts esp. regarding horcruxes were predictable. The only suspenses that i felt resolved to satisfaction were harry's fate and Snape's loyalties. Also, hallows didn't have much significance. Only the wand was relevant. She could have done without the stone. The title doesn't seem justified as the three were not brought together at the end. On the whole, good, interesting, worth a read, but not superlative as some of her previous books. "

For those that believe it's Satanic and that our youth will perish in hell fire for even glancing through pages are very warped individuals. For the rest of us, we understand that these books are fiction and fantasy only, much like the Bible, which is full of evil doings as well as miracles. Yes, I would have liked an expanded epilogue, to find out more of what happened to the main and other characters, but there's one strong feeling that I came away with overall: It's done. Another book, or a spin-off series, seems pointless. The Harry Potter story just feels complete. "

Snape was hardly in the book considering he was one of the main characters there were also a lot of things that should have had an emotional impact but didn't and what was up with him coming back to life. Overall I thought that it was fantastic it just left too many things unanswered. I thought you would get a lot more info about Harry's parents e.g. their jobs. I still thought the book was great and maybe I'm just clutching at straws looking for another one but I would really like it. I guess that corny epilogue ruled that out though. I was able to get through after reading the other 6 because I knew that another book was coming and now I need something to replace Harry Potter books in my life. Unfortunately there will probably be nothing comparable to it again so I'm probably going to go crazy waiting for something that isn't coming. I hope J.K. dreams up a new story for us all and releases it and if it's half as good as HP I'll be happy. "

Nice to know what happened to some of the survivors, but she left an incredible amount of loose ends regarding supporting characters that I would have loved answered. If you aren't finished with the books: STOP here por you'll get spoiled! Did Harry become an auror like he wanted? What happened to Luna, Dean and Lee? What did Hermione do with all those courses she took? She wanted to better her world, but what career? What does Ron do? What happened to Kreacher? Do Harry and Ginny live at Grimwauld palace? If thed epilogue was 19 years later, Teddy Lupin should be too old to still be going to Hogwarts?? What does George do without Fred? Who is Headmaster now? Lot of loose ends for a writer who is usually very good at tying things together. Epilogue seems hastily written. All said, I LOVED it. Like most everyone, I want more! "

A little of that goes a long way. Apart from that, a good book. "

I cannot believe the grammatical errors in their comments. Spelling, punctuation, grammar and sentence structure used would indicate that they have never even read a book, much less learned the rules of how to write a simple sentence or paragraph. I don't think this is the fault of the bloggers but of their educators past and present. Do today's students get away with this caliber of writing in school. If so, no wonder the world is falling apart. I was hoping for better. Cudos to J.K. Rowling for getting people to read again - now let's teach them how to write above third grade level. Ending not unexpected, but, yes, liked the fuller explanation of Snape's motivations. Yet, why did the Magical and Muggle worlds decide to remain parallel? yet the Magical does intersect the Muggle and the Magical one tries to "correct" intrusions, etc. You realize, of course, there is plenty of room for the pre-quels or background material - the story of James, Sirius, Severus, Lilly, Remus, etc, let alone from even prior to this with the hinted at legendary history, even of the founders of Hogwarts. No shell shock or any of the deep emotional or physical wounds that one would expect from such events. I enjoyed it, but without that bit of realism I was not as sad as I could have been. The ending of Lord of the Rings was much better in that it didn't gloss over the ramifications of what had happened. Frodo is not only missing a finger, but he has nothing more to give to his world. He doesn't settle down and live happily ever after (at least not on the Middle Earth side of the ocean). It just may not have been dark enough. "

" I bought the book on Saturday and finished by Late Sunday afternoon.... It's fun to reflect on the book, as well as the series. I laud Ms. Rowling on her clearity of vision. There are parts I wondered about, the "second comming" as it were, but then again, if it worked for "He Who Should Not Be Named" then why not for another character? What is rewarding is the thought and "craft" that was put into the book. I am quite sure that this series, like those of Frank Baum and E.Nesbit will be required summer reading for generations to come. I for one, am greatful that she has created such vivid characters. These characters have unified absolute strangers, created conversation and provided a most pleasant diversion that will be discussed, I hope, for years. In our scientific fact filled world it's lovely to delight in "magic". Granted, I'm sure someone could explain away the visual satisfaction of staring into a campfire, the mystical feeling of moonbeams streaming through broken clouds, or even the random trails of fireflies on a warm summer evening. But it's here that Harry Potter belongs, along with Ron, Hermione, and Hagrid. We need to be reminded there is a place... and a time, where each of us can playfully take the lead, and in our best Richard Harris immitations, tell stories to one another.... citing our deep intimate knowlage of "Dear Mr. Potter....", and perhaps, invent some of our own. As the summer draws to a close, and the lazy days of summer reading give way to cold, crisp, evenings, we can ponder yet again the gift that Ms. Rowling's creative mind has given us.... and our children. She has gently teased back... our imagination. "

" The plot was solid and engrossing, if not quite earth-shattering. However what really stood out to me was the character development & the inside look we got into several of their minds - particularly Snape, Dumbledore, and my favorite, Ron. Rowling is really good at creating people who are flawed but still heroic. I have really enjoyed the way that Harry's world has changed through the series as he's grown up and how it has been colored in with every shade of gray between black and white, reflecting his coming of age and realization that even the "good guys" are not perfect. This book finished off that process nicely without losing its grasp on the distinction between good and evil. One thing that left me wondering though was the two biblical quotes on the graves of Harry's parents and Dumbledore's mother. Were these just in the book because they sounded cool, or was there some deeper significance? It would be interesting to explore in what ways Harry is (and is not) a christological figure. "

There were many things that I *did* love here, some real moments of joy and revelation, but for the most part the book felt like it needed better editing and more time to develop. Had I not known better, I wouldn't have believed parts of it were written by Rowling - they read more like well-developed fan-fiction than they did the previous six books. I wish she had taken more time (or been given more time by her publishers, as the case may be) to complete Deathly Hallows - I would happily have waited another year for a book with fewer plot holes, odd character shifts, clunky exposition passages, and formally unfulfilling structure. I also wonder if some more time might have given JRK another perspective on the two people she killed off that she hadn't originally planned. I don't think these deaths (if I'm guessing correctly which "two" they were) added anything except body count, and they didn't feel "earned" by this book. And don't even get me started on the many ways Snape got cheated. :< All in all, the book was best in the battle scenes, and Dumbledore's backstory was interesting though unnecessary. There was one death and burial scene that made me cry. I was happy that Harry won, and that he finally got the answers he'd been waiting for. But I don't think as much of the series at the end of this book as I did before, and I'm conflicted now about having gotten my son started reading it. In the end, it's still "get the girl, get married, have kids, and live happily ever after." How did I miss that Harry's life goals were so boring and bourgeois? blech. "

" i was extremely emotional along this book. it was written fantasticly and you had to put it down, if you wanted to take some breath, cause it was so all happening with such speed! i didn't expect, that dumbledore will have such a big role in this book and when i read snape's memories, i was at the same time sad about snape (that he actually protected harry throughout his entire life without harry ever knowing it) and angry about dumbledore for preparing harry only to die. i could kill him at that point! and then harry dying - i just couldn't believe it! and then him coming back ... wow! i secretly always wanted harry to fight with voldemort in front of as many people as possible. you know, so that everyone could see him, and then, e did. it was almost like a dream come true. and in that duel the real - i can't even say what - perfectness perhaps of jkr came out. how she connected evera little thing from all the books, so that there were twists all along, and then harry saying, he is the one, who has the Elder wand, it was just magnificient! the only thing i didn't quite understand (and please don't think i'm mad) was when harry and voldy said "avada kadavra" and "expeliarmus" - harry said expeliarmus, right? cause that fits both his character and the fact, that became his signature spell. i also wanted to say two other things - that's how i think neville had changed in this book and how i'd loooove to know, what was harry's, ron's and hermione's profession. i get it, that all the people in King's Cross 19 yrs later watched harry, but has he perhaps done anything extraordinary in this time also? or did he just stop being a "hero"? he definetly wasn't hogwarts's headmaster, but he could be the minister ... i hope, we'd find that all out in the jkr's encyclopedia - i hope. I don't think Rowling should write any more books in this series- further books would only be like an extended epilogue of this one. "Deathly Hallows" is the climax of the entire series; what more can she do? Of course, I would be thrilled to read an entirely new series or whatever she writes next. "

I am sad now that I have read the last book knowing that we probably won't wait for another book like that with such anticipation and I feel like I am suffering already from "PotterDepression", well I guess I will reread the series again, and again! Neville got the sword the same way Harry did before because he had the true Griffindor Spirit the courage and desire to kill the snake, just as Harry got it when it was in the safest place - Dumbledore's office. Snape could produce a patronus the same as Lilly's because he truely loved her, just as Tonks loved Lupin - when hers had changed to represent him. To make them remember it has to be their happiest times and his had to have been times remembered with Lilly his one and only true friend. "

Wether harry became an aurour, and plz if any execs for the movie is reading this plz, the movie for DH has to be like 5hrs along, they cant cut out anythin from deathly hallows, because every single word is important. Overall this was the best book and series of all times. "

" I couldn't help but be disappointed in what must be the worst book in the series. After years of buildup and anticipation, the ending was nothing but predictable... perhaps it is because JKR had narrowed the ending to only three possibilities (V dying, H living; H dying, V living; both dying... and we all knew JKR wouldn't be stupid enough to kill off such a popular character!); perhaps it is because she has a habit of writing herself out of sticky plot situations by using magic... I honestly can't explain why I was so let down. However, I CAN say that I was especially offended at the Epilogue, which was super-cheesy and poorly-written. Usually I enjoy imagining MYSELF what will happen to characters, but obviously it is the author's discretion whether or not to write one. "

I would of liked to see more after the war ended instead of just 19 years later, & why 19 & not 20? I look foward to anything else JK writes. Nothing will beable to fill the empty void I now have with there not being any more Harry Potter books. But the wonderful thing about Harry Potter is you can go back and read again. " I loved the book. It was by far, my favorite. The only complaint I had was trivial. If Hary's parents died in 1981 as the book says in two places, then Deathly Hallows takes place in 1998. Half Blood Prince refers to disasters and things that occurred in London during the 2000s and another book mentions a computer game Dudley plays from the 2000s. This does not compute. "

" This book, and the series, were solidly satisfying. Rowling does not tiptoe around death, as some think she should considering her main audience, but that would be hypocritical in light of the ongoing war, and indeed, life itself. The moral lesson was clear but not preachy, the adventure scenes dynamic, and the character and relationship development believable. In fact, the magic was believable! Good fantasy writing should be logical and believable as well as amazing, as all of the Potter series has been. " I thought that many deaths were just a sentence long and were just to for the sake of death, The 1 expectation was the death of Snape. There was actually a meaning to it. I thought that the plot was meant to fit a movie and not a book. Also the plot was meant to fit the series and not the book. The epilogue was defiantly for teenage girls, very cheesy and was a lead in for her encyclopedia. Mad eyes death was very undeveloped, I thought it would have been a nice touch to have him come back as a Inferius at the battle of Hogwarts. I liked having the knowledge of Dumbledore's past but it seemed repeated over and over and over again and unnecessary to move the plot along. I have to agree with ron on leaving Hermonie and Harry in the tent, it was so dull, what was that like 5 chapters sitting in a tent discussing wands. I did however like Snape's memories. But how did Lily fall in love with James? He seemed like such an a-s-s. I overall did like the writing but I thought the plot moved to slow and if I were the editor I'd trim it down to about 500 pages. "

I wasn't so happy with the number of deaths by the way and cried my heart out at Remus's, Tonks's and Fred's deaths cause they were three of my favourite characters!!!!!! I also was completely satisfied with Snape's end and was quite shocked to see how extra ambitious and selfish Dumbledore had been! But this one really left a lot of questions un answered like Why did Lily marry James? What happened to Harry, Ron and Hermione after the battle? What did Harry's parents do for a living? Why did Sirius never thought of marrying someone when he was out of azkaban, was no one so important in his life? Anyways I will love it if JK really takes up the idea of answering all these questions in her encyclopedia! But I would really have loved it if Harry would have finished Bellatrix off for Sirius's revenge! But I can't keep writing all day, can I? His parents were killed and he has had to live with his unbearable aunt, uncle, and cousin. Since then, he's constantly been trying to prevent himself from getting killed on several occasions, as well as have to endure the deaths of those closest to him, such as Sirius, Dumbledore, Hedwig, Lupin, etc. Harry deserves to finally live a free and happy life, and there's no way Voldemort should have lived, or else the story would have no ending. Thanks to JKR for making such a wonderful book, and a great, intriguing end to the story of Harry Potter. "

I am also disapointed when I relized Sirius wasnt going to come back, even though (i know this has no connection to the book) Luna said at the end of the fith movie that "all things find their way back in the end" or something like that. I also thought all the information on what Harry, Ron and Hermione were when they were in hiding i mean some of it was nessisary but a lot of it wasnt! I completly skiped the "King's Cross" chapter because it was too depressing, and i was sad that when Harry came back (after he defeated Voldy and everything) that he didnt kiss Ginny. I liked that Ron and Hermione got to kiss but i thought the timing was wrong i think it would have been better when Ron came back when they were in hiding. I know it sounds like i am complianing a lot but im really not, I thought the book was great and i will actully be sad when they make the movie because they are sure to take half of it out! My favorite thing about the book was the epolouge because Harry got what he never had: a happy family. Im glad it turned out the way it did, and i just want to tell some things about what happened to people and what would happen if some things didnt happen. Fist if Lily (as in Harry's mother) hadent died Snape wouldnt have cared about Harry(JKR said so) and Harry became a head of the Aurors or something, Ron became a Auror too, and Hermione became high in the Ministry Law Enforcement feild. I actually liked the epilogue best. Harry Potter is a fairy tale, and all fairy tales end with "and they all lived happily ever after". and maybe ms. rowling revealed in an interview what harry, ron, and hermone's careers are. so, all in all, good, but not great. half blood prince is still my favorite. " i just would like to say that i loved the whole harry potter series and you actually got me reading books because i never picked up a book until harry potter 1 was given to me. I think harry potter and the deathly hallows was a terrific book. When i first started to read it i was like this is a weird beginning but ok so i carried on reading and i thought that it startes to get better and i like the whole dudley thing. I was most upset however when you hear that mad-eye moody got killed. They never actually find his body though. You kind of guess he's definitely dead though when umbridge has his eye. I was really glad when hermione and ron get together and i think it's really good the way he read the book about girls and uses it on hermione. I think harry and Ginny should have had a bigger part in the book and i think after he killed voldemort harry should have kissed ginny but that's my opinion. I also like the way it turns out that harry can't die until voldemort died i found that really funny but i have to admit i cried when i thought he was going to die when he saw snape's memories. I also cried when his parent, lupin and sirius come back that was such a good part to the book and i cried because i know teddy's parents died it was a really sad book and i didn't like it that fred had to die :( one of my other story lines is the whole snape thing when you hear him doing all this stuff and you think he's bad but it turns out dumbledore has actually told him to do it all and i love the epilogue at the end when you see harry's son albus severus potter and her talks to him about snape being in slytherin but he was the bravest man he ever knew i cried. i can't say it was your best because they are all amazing "

" As I finished the book, the greatest feeling I had was sadness that the series is over, and that we will never again read of any more of Harry Potter's adventures. However, I'm glad that Harry came out alright in the end. I was so scared that J.K. Rowling was going to kill him off, but that would have been an outrage to us fans. Am I right? This book was much darker, much more serious, and was definitely a page-turner. I loved every minute of it, even though some good characters were lost. "

" First of all I would like to say that this was the BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN!! J.K Rowling is AWSOME!! I loved evertyhing about this book, and people need to stop complainning about characters dying or whatever they found wrong with the book....I don't see them writing one of the best stories world wide!! I believe J.k Rowling has done an awsome job...She has made Harry Potter go through alot but in the end he has the life he always wanted a "Happy Big Family with Ginny!!" and I see alot of people not liking some of the main characters dying but death is part of life and everyone has to go through that at some point in their lifes...and especially Harry had to go through it so that when he finally confronted Voldermore it would give him courage of what he needed to do (die himself) and to know How much stronger he is then Voldermore...!! All in all the best book of the series!! J.k Rowlings you rock!! "

" I love, love, loved this book and all of the HP books. I could have finished the book in two days, but I kept drawing it out, b/c I didn't want it to end! I was scared of what the ending was going to be, but I think that Rowling ended it perfectly! She didn't elaborate on the jobs that Harry, Ron and Hermione got into when they were older, but I imagined them as aurors. Then I read an interview w/Rowling and she said that Harry and Ron become aurors and Hermione is working for the ministry of magic's law dept. I hope she does decide to write the HP encyclopedia, b/c I'd like to get all of the in depth info about all f the characters. "

" I loved the book. It was emotional when Dobby died but I understand war spares no one. Thanks to JK for allowing us to see Harry as just another individual doing what had to be done. I think it shows us that no matter who we are, we all can be heroes in the right situation. When the movie is written, please keep the the information about Snape and Lily. I think the 3rd movie forgot to include Harry's parents' history. I am sorry to see the series end. "

" I think that the book was really great and finished perfectly. It is dissapointing though that there will be no more Harry Potter books to read. I am hoping that a spoiler of sometypewill be published so that all the questions such as what is the creature at Kings Cross, what the singnificance of the veil is in the 5th book, does harry ever see the dursleys again, who did tonks and lupins son live with (bc harry makes it sound like he never lived with them in the epilouge even though he was the godfather) and what happened after the battle of hogwarts. all in alll though i thought it was a terrific book and i will always have a copy with me. Dobby's Ghost wrote on Aug 3, 2007 4:01 AM:

" The 7th book had a really nice twrist at the end, especially the story with Snape and Lily, i could never guessed it... The book is, of course, brilliant, and i had to continue reading until the end... However, in my opinion, as others also mentioned, the endling was somehow too.. "simple", they got all married with each other and have kids and their kids are friends and so on... In addition, i was thinking that Harry is really "the perfect husband", i mean, be real, he had only kissed Cho before, and then gets married with the second girlfriend he's ever had...?? Well, anyways, he's Harry potter, i think no girl would complain to be with a guy who saved the world... Another point is all the dying of the people... For me, harry seemed to griefed longer over Dobby then over Fred, Lupin and Trunks. I mean, Lupin, the old friend of his dad, is old teacher, and Fred.... Harry didnt dig graves for them or there wasnt even a funeral, whereas for dobby, harry suffered more and felt guilty pages over pages while he was digging Dobby's grave... The last point, i also thought was just too short was the death of Voldemort. In my opinion he just died too simple, i mean, he's the one who everyone feared!! But then one curse --- and he's dead... That seems pretty .. i dont know, it seems like JKR didnt know how to kill him properly... I expected a real fight, harry losing an eye or maybe a hand... And in "19 years later", i also didnt know who JKR meant at the end with "Victoire"... I read in some forums that she is the daughter of Fleur and Bill... but if i wouldnt have read the post, i would have had no clue who she is... But anyways, it's all over now, and i am pretty sad... It's been almost 10 years, the reader's been growing with Harry and his friends... And now its over. Everything is well. "

Valdimar wrote on Aug 5, 2007 1:50 PM:

" I thought the end was to simple. I wanted a real fight in the end, between Lord Voldemort and Harry. It only took like 10 seconds to kill Voldemort. If the deathly hallows weren't in the book, and harry's wand hadn't been destroyed, it would be a nice end. We would know hue was better. "

" I can´t believe that it is end now. I love the book, because it is really smart and great. It is super that harry alive and voldemort dead. I have crie, because of Fred and Dobby, I liked both very much. What is George without Fred?! I like very much that Hermione and Ron gettin married and have got children, that is soo cute. I think the most girls and boys grew up with harry potter and now it is ending. If i have children, they have to read the books, because i think they should know what their mother reads. "

PLEASE right another book janice k rowling please! "
