My family has written to you before regarding my kidney transplants and the Register did a couple articles back in 2005 when my sister donated her kidney to me.

Here we are again, heading into July and a new fiscal year without a state budget in place — SOP (standard operating procedure) in the Capitol.

NEW ORLEANS -- It looks better. It really does. No longer do you see cars on top of houses, boats marooned in the middle of the street and piles and piles of personal possessions. The vast devastated area of New Orleans and neighboring St. Bernard looks tidy now, almost pretty.
