Car vs. motorcycle

A crash along Silverado Trail sent one man to the hospital with major injuries and another to jail Friday.
The accident happened at 7:38 p.m., along the Trail near the intersection of Oak Knoll Avenue. California Highway Patrol officials said Dennis Cornelius Nevin, 63, of Napa, drove north on the roadway in a Lexus sedan and intended to make a left turn onto Oak Knoll Avenue. As Nevin turned he went directly in the path of a motorcycle driven by Dimitry Kushelevsky, 40, of San Francisco, who was driving south on the roadway, the CHP said.

Kushelevsky was thrown from the vehicle and sustained major injuries including broken ankles, the CHP said. He was wearing his helmet at the time of the collision, according to the CHP, and was transported to the hospital.
Officers arrested Nevin on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury and took him to jail.

" But that seems like a terrible headline for a sad story. I think the headline makes it sound like it's a game. "

" I agree with Comment 1, "Maybe it's just me". The Napa Valley Resgister is not a tabloid newspaper. why is it so important to game play a serious accidental injury? The NVR is a local newspaper, you should report the news as is...Car and motorcycle collision on Silverado Trail. "

" What a great title for a not so great article. Have you guys no regard for anyone ?? As a rider my immediate thought was a fatality, thankfully it was not, but your title is very misleading. So glad I dont pay for your paper anymore. "

" My how interesting that there are no blazing angry comments posted regarding the use of alcohol or race in this accident. Hmmm could it be that nobody sounded illegal so therefore they could not possibly be drunk. Where are all the "get rid of the illegals" comments when the names sound "American" "
