In a separate domestic violence call, police arrested Jose Manuel Hurtado, 24, on suspicion of domestic violence, battery and possession of methamphetamine.

Hurtado went to the home of a woman he knew, and broke into her apartment, police said. The woman was at the home at the time of the break-in and Hurtado prevented her from leaving the home, saying that he wanted to have sex with her, police said. Hurtado reportedly pulled her hair and slapped her, leaving a bruise on her neck.
Police said he left after the woman declined to have sex with him. Officers caught up with Hurtado at his home on the 1600 block of Hemlock Street. They found a glass smoking pipe and methamphetamine on Hurtado at the time of his arrest and took him to jail
