Jung Journal fundraiser

Brown Bag program seeks volunteers

The Brown Bag program is in search of a site manager and assistant site manager to oversee the operation and delivery of food to seniors in Calistoga. The Brown Bag food program has 12 sites throughout Napa County where bags are distributed and delivered twice a month to low-income seniors. Volunteer days in Calistoga are the second and fourth Thursday of every month, and the usual hours of operation are 8-10 a.m. Info, Napa Food Bank at 253-6128.

Meals-on-Wheels

“Meals-on-Wheels” seeks volunteer drivers to ensure homebound seniors receive nutritious meals and a bit of companionship. Drivers use their vehicles to deliver meals to homebound seniors from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. A delivery route consists of 15-20 meals per route. Volunteer drivers/riders may commit to once a week on a regular basis or be called on a substitute basis. Groups may adopt a route and rotate drivers to suit there schedule.
