Garibaldi
Bill and Gloria (Bassi) Garibaldi of Napa celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 19 at Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. They were married May 19, 1957, at St. John's Catholic Church in Napa.
The celebration included dinner and dancing at the elegant dining room at the Madonna Inn, along with 19 members of their family, including their best man, John Lavezzo from Vallejo, and bridesmaid Joan Herlocker of Green Valley, the only remaining members of their wedding party. The couple will celebrate with a 15-night cruise to Hawaii over the holidays with their immediate family.
Bill was born and raised in Vallejo. He served in the U.S. Air Force and owned and operated motels in Sacramento. In 1959, he moved to Napa with his family and owned and operated A&B Travel Trailers & Motorhomes until his retirement in late 1992. Bill enjoys gardening, traveling and being with his family. He is a member of Napa Sons of Italy, Branch 12 ICF, Napa Elks Lodge #832, SIRS Branch 65, NSGW #62, Vallejo Moose Lodge and St. Apollinaris Catholic Church.
Gloria was born in Sterling, Colo., and moved to California in 1951. She worked at Mare Island Shipyard until she was married and moved to Sacramento with her husband, where they worked side by side in their business. She loves traveling, dancing and being with her family. Gloria is a member of Napa Sons of Italy, ICF Branch 12, Vallejo Women's Moose, Napa Valley Republican Women's Federation and St. Apollinaris Catholic Church.
They have two children, a son, David (Maria) from San Jose, and a daughter, Mitzi (Chuck) Peterson from Livermore. Their grandchildren are Nicholas, Alana and Julia Garibaldi and Kristopher and Shawn Peterson.
