After more than a month’s surveillance, drug agents made their move and arrested a suspected drug trafficker in Napa.

Last month, Napa Special Investigations Bureau agents were keeping a close eye on Manuel Baez Arriaga’s activities.

Agents believed Arriaga was selling drugs from his car at a parking lot in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue, NSIB Cmdr. Gary Pitkin said.

On May 24, drug agents served a search warrant on Arriaga while he was in the parking lot. He was found to be in possession of $2,800, Pitkin said. They also found methamphetamine and cocaine, which was packaged for sale. The amount confiscated would have yield about 60 dosages, Pitkin said.

Arriaga, 46, was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth and cocaine for sale.
