This weekend Trinity Prep high school presents the classic comedy, “Cheaper by the Dozen,” the real life story of the large and lively Gilbreth family.

Set in the 1920s, this bittersweet comedy presents the humorous, touching ups and downs in the life of the Gilbreths, who were pioneers in the field of motion study — how to eliminate wasteful and hazardous motion. The screenplay by Christopher Sergel is based on the book by Frank and Ernestine Gilbreth, two of the Gilbreth children.
The cast stars Frank Navarra as Mr. Gilbreth and Elizabeth Figueroa as his wife. Portraying the Gilbreth children are Christina Milano, Teá Erickson, Megan Quinn, Peter Kersting, Sean Thornton, Julie Brumley, Philip Maxson, Dan Streett and Sean Ryan. Audrey Carbonell takes on the role of Mrs. Fitzgerald, the housekeeper, and Alvin Guieverra is Dr. Burton, the family physician. Ty Lopez plays Joe Scales, the cheerleader, Rachael Healy is teacher Miss Brill, and Philip Thornton is Larry, “someone special.”

Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the outdoor theater at the school at 2055 Redwood Road in Napa.
