The Napa High softball team stayed alive in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs on Monday with a 3-1 victory over Folsom.
The Indians (26-4) advanced in the losers bracket to play West-Tracy (20-8) — which fell to Sheldon-Sacramento, 6-0, on Monday — later in the evening.

Napa pitcher Mackenzey Bard gave up a home run to Kaley Hudec in the second inning, giving Folsom a 1-0 lead. But the junior settled down to pitch a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and three walks.
The Indians tied the score in the third, when Delana Miller scored on Alex Robben’s double down the left-field line. Shortly after, Kalina Calantoc scored on Becki Heimbigner’s sacrifice fly for a 2-1 Napa lead. An error by the Bulldogs led to an Indians insurance run in the fifth.
